Stephen Curry (GS) – There is a good argument for Russell Westbrook maintaining this throne for the rest of the season, but Curry’s a comparable play and far less expensive on Friday night. He gets a rare home game that Vegas isn’t building in some blowout risk (Warriors favored by five) and it’s one of two games with a 214.5 total tonight. The Raptors rank sixth in defensive efficiency against point guards but any risk in matchup is likely mitigated by higher expected minutes for Curry. The point guard position has some depth to it so Curry isn’t a must, but he’s a Top Five overall play and has a favorable price point on our featured site FanDuel.
Kyrie Irving (CLE) – Kyrie doesn’t look like a big bargain around the industry but when you factor in the absence of LeBron James his price is modestly discounted. Kyrie has posted an impressive 33.8 percent usage rate with LeBron off the floor this season, compared to a puny 21 percent usage rate with LeBron on the floor. Kyrie also gets an elite matchup as the Hornets rank 24th in defensive efficiency against point guards. This is a great combination to target. We have an elite matchup with a player who is likely to see a huge increase in opportunities as the focal point of their offense. Kyrie is one of our top overall targets on Friday.
