Chris Paul (LAC) – (Blowout risk makes him a better tournament investment)
Next-in-line: Damian Lillard (POR) – Co-writer Drew Dinkmeyer said on yesterday’s Daily Fantasy Rundown that Lillard’s increase in opportunities (with Aldridge out) came with a dip in efficiency. Lillard had the highest usage rate for the Trail Blazers last night but he was underwhelming (.273 field goal percentage). Aldridge will continue to be out this evening (slated to get a second MRI on his injured hand), which means Lillard is in a great position yet again. Lillard’s usage rate sees a significant rise with Aldridge off the court (29.5 percent usage rate with Aldridge off the court/25.1 percent usage rate with Aldridge on the court) and his price point on our featured site (DraftDay) is slightly discounted. An average game for Lillard gets him close to meeting value (averaging 39.5 DraftDay points, needs 42 DraftDay points to meet value) and a rise in opportunities combined with a high pace matchup at home (Celtics are ranked third in pace) outweighs any concerns about his efficiency. Lillard is a top target in all formats this evening.
