Daily Fantasy Rundown – NBA DFS – March 13th, 2015
Welcome to Friday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “leonem” and “dinkpiece”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games. Our analysis will help you consistently build winning rosters over the long run.
Russell Westbrook (OKC) – The decision with Westbrook looms again on Friday. His price around the industry requires value thresholds between 55-60 points and we project him for closer to 63-67 Fantasy points (depending on the site). The “value” in his price tag is amazingly still there, but the impact on roster construction makes him a more difficult decision. In tournaments, you’ll likely need closer to 70 out of Westbrook. The matchup is strong. Minnesota ranks 29th in defensive efficiency against point guards and they play at an above average pace. Vegas has the Thunder with the second highest team total tonight (110.25) and Westbrook owns the highest share of his team’s production of any player going. He’s obviously a great play and the top overall play on the night, but I think he’s a slightly better cash game option than tournament play.
