Daily Fantasy Rundown – NBA DFS – March 17th, 2015
Welcome to Tuesday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “leonem” and “dinkpiece”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games. Our analysis will help you consistently build winning rosters over the long run.
Point Guard
Top Play:
Chris Paul (LAC) – Chris Paul is likely the top point guard scorer tonight but with an inflated price tag (now that Blake Griffin is back) and two other superstars to prioritize, he’s a tournament option. The matchup with the Hornets is above average for point guards. Charlotte allows a higher percentage of plays to pick-and-roll ball handlers than the league average
Next in line:
Tyreke Evans (NO) – Evans is the next highest projected scorer at the point guard position but his price tag across the industry leaves little room for value. The lone exception is DraftKings where the price is hovering 20 percent above the average cost of a roster spot, whereas most other sites it is approaching 30 percent. The matchup with Milwaukee is below average on paper (first in defensive efficiency against point guards) but it’s one of just two games with a point spread in single digits. I’m not interested in paying full price for Evans, even on a shorter slate, but on sites there is a discount; he’s a viable cash game option.
