Welcome to Monday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “leonem” and “dinkpiece”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games. Our analysis will help you consistently build winning rosters over the long run.
Bankroll Recommendation: With NBA season winding down and teams having less to play for and predictability waning, I’d recommend playing a reduced portion of your bankroll and focusing more on tournaments than cash games.
Russell Westbrook (OKC) – Westbrook’s technical foul last night which would’ve earned him a suspension was rescinded this afternoon. Westbrook is the top overall play and gets an elite matchup against the Trail Blazers defense that funnels opportunities to ball handlers in the pick-and-roll. There is a ton of value available as we wind the season down which makes Westbrook easy to fit into your lineups. He’s not only the top play but grades out as a strong value with his price tag down modestly. Get him in your lineups tonight.
Jordan Clarkson (LAL) – Clarkson is logging heavy minutes with the Lakers down to two healthy guards and last night they lost Wesley Johnson who was one of their only wing players as well. Clarkson’s floor on minutes tonight is probably around 40 and his ceiling is playing all 48. He faces the Kings who rank 26th in defensive efficiency against the point guard position and 27th in overall defensive efficiency. It’s an elite matchup for efficiency and we’re expecting a bigger boost in minutes for Clarkson. He’s our top overall value play on tonight’s slate.
