Week 12 of the EPL season is here after having a week off for World Cup Qualifying and friendly matches. With that said, i’m back, Jerzeydevil here with my weekly write up for you great soccer fans. The write up this week is for the EPL Equalizer -$20 GTD (M) over at StatClash.  Remember you don’t have to join that contest, there are 26 others on the board at this time.  It’s very clear that if you are an EPL fan, or just a soccer fan in general, these guys have you covered every single weekend of action.  So make sure you’re following these selections and have some skin in the game each Saturday morning.

PETR CECH (Chelsea) $22.75  Cech’s value is a dollar down since he last played. That is due to him not having a great day – giving up 2 goals against West Brom back on the 10th. Truth is, this season he’s been up and down. Looking at a few of the past games, usually when Cech has a bad outing, he comes back with a stellar performance. The is week Chelsea is on the road at West Ham and I’m expecting Cech to have that great showing.

TIM KRUL (Newcastle United) $20.50  Krul has been one of the best keepers in the league over the last few games. Back on the 10th, he managed to get a 1-0 shutout against Tottenham.  If you think that’s impressive, the game before that on the 2nd, Krul got the upset win and a 2-0 shutout against Chelsea. This week Newcastle is at home against Norwich City and I’m liking Krul to get that 3rd shutout in a row.

STEVE HARPER (Hull City) $22.00  Harper is a keeper I’ve never mentioned in my write ups – mostly due to to the fact that the guy doesn’t have the greatest stats. Harper did get a shutout back on the 2nd, but on the 9th Harper recorded a scorching -6 in points…so maybe I am out of my mind for having him in my writeup. Hull City is at home this week against last place Crystal Palace. So with Hull playing at home against the worst team in the EPL this season, I like Harpers chances of getting a win and it would not surprise me to see Harper get a shutout as well.

Boy its been a bitch to find defenders that get you solid points every week. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few that do, but I don’t want to keep mentioning the same players week in and week out.  Here we go…

MATHIEU DEBUCHY (Newcastle United) $15.50  Debuchy was just signed last year by Newcastle.  Prior to that, he played in France for Lille. Since coming to Newcastle he has played an important role in their defense. Debuchy has only 4 yellow cards this season and pretty much plays the full 90 minutes each game. Back on Oct 24th he got his 1st goal of the season, his 1st since coming to Newcastle. Debuchy should have a solid game this weekend as Newcastle host Norwich City.

PHIL BARDSLEY (Sunderland) $16.00  Bardsley is the type of defender I love having in my lineup. He’s one of those that players with a ton of heart and he never gives up. I respect that.  A striker might get past him, but you can bet he is on that strikers heels with the quickness. Bardsley also makes great runs up the field with the ball and can hit a beautiful cross. On top of that, Bardsley can find the nylon, as he showed on the 10th as he scored the game winner against Manchester City (Bardsley also scored on the 6th in a cup game). Sunderland will need Bardsley to keep up that great play this weekend as they travel to take on Stoke City.

PHILIPPE SENDEROS (Fulham) $14.75  Here is another player I’ve never written about. Senderos started the season for Fulham as a sub. After a few games playing the sub role, Senderos showed he belonged on the field as a starter. Senderos is a conservative style defender, not the type that will come right at a player and give up a foul that might end up hurting the team. He has only 1 yellow card this season which is great for a defender. Senderos also has a goal this season. Senderos will need to play a great game on defense this weekend to help Fulham get a victory against Swansea.

EDEN HAZARD (Chelsea) $20.00    A few weeks ago I had  Hazard in my writeup. I was looking at his stats and wanted to mention him, because he is one of those midfielders that is good but doesn’t get a lot of ink. Hazard had  2 goals and an assist against Cardiff City, which came on the heels of a game where he punched it through the net.  After those games he didn’t do much, then on the 9th he stepped it up again with a goal and assist against West Brom. It was Hazard’s goal in the 90th minute that helped Chelsea get the draw instead of going down in defeat. Chelsea will need this type of play again this week as they are on the road against West Ham.

AARON RAMSEY (Arsenal) $21.75   Ramsey is one of the most consistent midfielder’s in soccer – and easily one of the best in the EPL. Ramsey has been producing decent fantasy points for people just about every week. On Nov 6th, Ramsey scored the game winner for Arsenal in a Champions League game. This weekend is a big game for Arsenal as they host Southampton. I have full faith in Ramsey this weekend, you better believe he will be ready for this one.

ADAM LALLANA (Southampton) $19.50   Here is another midfielder that I like to have in my lineup this weekend – a lot. Lallana is a midfielder/striker in Southampton’s formation. He recorded a goal and an assist in his last EPL game against Hull City. In his last 5 EPL games he has 3 goals, 2 assist, 6 shots on goal and 19 crosses. Those are some impressive stats for a midfielder. Southampton is playing Arsenal and this will be a great game to watch with Lallana and Ramsey on the field.

LUIS SUAREZ (Liverpool) $24.75  Suarez is still one of the hottest strikers in the EPL – actually – the world right now. This is why I have him in my lineup for the 3rd straight week. In his last EPL game Suarez had 2 goals and an assist. His last 5 EPL games he’s recorded 6 goals, 3 assist, 13 shots on goal, and 17 crosses. What else is there to say about Suarez?  The proof is in the pudding – get him in your line up.

WILFRIED BONY (Swansea City) $16.50  Bony is a striker I’ve never mentioned and it might be the 1st player that I’m on from Swansea City. It’s a shame that Bony isn’t on a better team because I feel he would have considerably better statistics. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems Swansea gets shuts out a lot – but when they do score, Bony is apart of it. Bony had 2 goals in his last EPL game and that same week he scored in the Europa league game. Boney has punched 3 goals in his last 5 EPL games and even though we have Swansea on the road this week against Fulham, I do like his chances of netting a goal against them.

LOIC REMY (Newcastle United) $19.25  I know this is the 3rd Newcastle player that I’m mentioning in this post, but in my mind, it has to be done. It’s completely your call as to whether or not you need all 3 in your lineup.  Lately Remy has been playing fine ball, scoring in back to back EPL games. In his last 5 games, Remy has netted 4 goals in 8 shots on goal. I’ll take any player that is scoring 50% of the time when they get a shot on net. Newcastle is hosting Norwich City this weekend. With the amount of goals Norwich has been letting in lately there’ss a good chance Remy will find the threads this weekend.

This concludes this weekends writeup. As always, I hope you find it helpful when putting your team together. Have a great Happy Thanksgiving next week. Good Luck & Enjoy your weekend of Daily Fantasy EPL at StatClash!! -JD
