Elite Eight CBB DFS Plays

Welcome to Thursday’s edition of DCoop328’s CBB Daily Plays. This article will break down the best plays at each price range (based on DraftKings pricing). This will be followed by price-adjusted cash game rankings showing the best 50/50 and head to head plays for today’s slate.

High Priced Studs ($7500+)

Terry Rozier III (Louisville, Guard) – Rozier’s skills were on full display against North Carolina St. Not only did he score 17 points, the 6’1 guard also led the team in rebounding with 14. This is not a fluke as Terry is one of the best rebounding guards in the nation. He continues to be underpriced for how much he is utilized in the Louisville offense.

Kyle Wiltjer (Gonzaga, Forward) – Wiltjer is rated as the ninth best offensive scorer in the nation by Wiltjer’s scoring ability gives him the highest upside of anybody on the board. Kyle is also an outstanding rebounder averaging 9 per game over his last five games. If you are playing GPPs, seriously consider Wiltjer.

Mid Priced Plays ($6000-$7500)

Sam Dekker (Wisconsin, Forward) – Just plug Dekker into all of your lineups, on both FanDuel and DraftKings. He has been Wisconsin’s best scorer and rebounder of recent and has a floor of 15 points and 5 rebounds. Dekker has a floor of around 25 DraftKings points and a ceiling of 50. Dekker would still be a good play at 9k, but makes for a MUST play at 7k. Also note that Dekker will be getting a tempo boost. Sure, Arizona is 100th in the NCAA in adjusted tempo, but that actually puts them as the fastest paced team remaining in the tournament.

Przemek Karnowski (Gonzaga, Forward) – Przemek looks like some kind of monster, standing at 7’1, 304 pounds. He has average post moves but is a great rebounder and adept passer. He gets a minutes bump due to the fact that he will be needed to cover Jahlil Okafor.  He should play between 25 and 35 minutes, giving him a greater chance of hitting value.

Low Priced Values

Kaleb Tarczewski (Arizona, Forward) – Tarczewski has been huge recently, putting up 28.5 fantasy points in Arizona’s last game against Xavier. Kaleb will also be needed to play more minutes, facing Frank Kaminsky. With his minutes bump and an outstanding price, Kaleb is an elite value play.

Willie Cauley-Stein (Kentucky, Forward) – It has been a trend all season that big men have destroyed Notre Dame. I expect this game to be no exception. Cauley-Stein is priced generously at $5900. In what should be a high scoring game Cauley-Stein should blow past his value threshold. Kentucky, in general, has the best DFS matchup of the Elite Eight teams as Notre Dame is ranked 99th in adjusted defense. Every other team is ranked inside the top 50, including three in the top five (Kentucky, Arizona, Louisville).

Demetrius Jackson (Notre Dame, Guard) – Demetrius was not available for use on DraftKings, Thursday. Luckily he falls back into our hand as low priced as ever. Demetrius has been one of Notre Dame’s top scorers of late but also contains a great 19.3 assist rate. Demetrius plays nearly all 40 minutes of the game, maximizing his potential to score Fantasy points.
