Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is FanDuel
Russell Westbrook (OKC)/Stephen Curry (GS) – We had a more distinct projection gap between the two players yesterday than we do today. Westbrook has the better matchup as he faces a Pelicans defense that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency against point guards, 26th in overall defensive efficiency, and 12th in pace. Stephen Curry will face Orlando who plays at a slower pace (20th) and is an average defense (15th) but ranks 24th against point guards. Our projection once ahead has Westbrook ahead of Curry by a few points, but both represent solid cash game targets on a smaller slate. The challenges with this slate are unique. We’re filled with elite options that come with a hefty price tag but also project as solid values and we also have a few punt options for salary relief, but most of those punt options come at point guards. It creates a unique situation where you might forego the higher projected stud simply due to positional opportunity cost.
