Daily Fantasy Rundown – February 25 NBA DFS Picks and Analysis

Welcome to Thursday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “dinkpiece”, “leonem” and “TheNumbersGuy”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games.  Our goal is to bring analysis that will help you build rosters that put you in position to win consistently over the long term.

*Any time a player’s salary is reference as a discount or premium, it is relative to the average cost of a roster spot.

Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is FanDuel

Top Play:

Russell Westbrook (OKC)/Stephen Curry (GS) – We had a more distinct projection gap between the two players yesterday than we do today. Westbrook has the better matchup as he faces a Pelicans defense that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency against point guards, 26th in overall defensive efficiency, and 12th in pace. Stephen Curry will face Orlando who plays at a slower pace (20th) and is an average defense (15th) but ranks 24th against point guards. Our projection once ahead has Westbrook ahead of Curry by a few points, but both represent solid cash game targets on a smaller slate. The challenges with this slate are unique. We’re filled with elite options that come with a hefty price tag but also project as solid values and we also have a few punt options for salary relief, but most of those punt options come at point guards. It creates a unique situation where you might forego the higher projected stud simply due to positional opportunity cost.
