Daily Fantasy Rundown – February 8 NBA DFS Picks and Analysis
Welcome to Monday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “dinkpiece”, “leonem” and “TheNumbersGuy”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games. Our goal is to bring analysis that will help you build rosters that put you in position to win consistently over the long term.
*Any time a player’s salary is reference as a discount or premium, it is relative to the average cost of a roster spot.

Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is DraftKings
Russell Westbrook (OKC) – Westbrook once again projects as our top overall scorer and a viable target in all formats. The Suns rank 26th in defensive efficiency against point guards and 30th in overall defensive efficiency against opposing backcourts. The Thunder are heavy favorites (13.5 points) but their next game isn’t until Thursday so not much reason to scale back starter’s minutes. They have the highest implied team total (115) and Westbrook is the most direct source of exposure. As is typically the case, Westbrook still grades out as a fine “value” as we’re projecting him above our threshold targets but the decision comes down to the impact on your roster. With FanDuel’s extreme loose pricing, he’s easy to fit in and a fine foundation to a cash game lineup, but on DraftKings it’s more difficult to justify without many more cheap values. We’re projecting Westbrook well ahead of all the other top plays so if spending up, he’s our top priority this evening.
