Welcome to Tuesday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “dinkpiece”, “leonem” and“TheNumbersGuy”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games. Our goal is to bring analysis that will help you build rosters that put you in position to win consistently over the long term.

Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is FanDuel
Stephen Curry (GSW) – Curry represents the top projected DFS scorer in this slate, and despite being the highest priced player around the industry, he’s the best point per dollar option at the point guard position. Even with some expected blowout risk, which would likely cost him a few minutes, the matchup could be enough to get Curry on top of his value threshold, which is hovering around 50 Fantasy points on most sites. Houston is ranked 16th in defensive efficiency vs. PGs, which is fair for the most part, but their team defense isn’t any good (ranked 25th) and they particularly struggle in transition (allowing 1.13 points per possession in transition; fifth worst mark in the NBA). Curry thrives in transition plays (averaging 1.25 points per possession in transition; ranked in the 79th percentile), and the up-tempo matchup (Houston is ranked seventh in pace; Golden State is ranked second) should help his value. We have no Vegas information from this game at the moment, but we expect it to have the highest game total in this slate (likely over 215 points and a double-digit spread), and Golden State will more than likely be pegged with a team total of 110-115 points. If Curry’s minutes are negatively impacted by the impending blowout, the favorable matchup should be enough to help him be a touch more efficient. Curry is the player we feel the most confident in building our cash game lineups around in this reduced slate.
