Daily Fantasy Rundown – January 12 NBA DFS Picks and Analysis
Welcome to Tuesday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “dinkpiece”, “leonem” and “TheNumbersGuy”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games. Our goal is to bring analysis that will help you build rosters that put you in position to win consistently over the long term.

Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is FanDuel
Russell Westbrook (OKC) – Westbrook projects as the top scorer at the point guard position. The Timberwolves rank ninth in defensive efficiency against point guards but they’re in the bottom quartile in points per possession allowed in transition and to the pick-and-roll ball handlers. It’s not a particularly troubling matchup for Westbrook but the price tag remains a challenge on a slate without a ton of obvious value plays at first glance. Our projections have him approaching his value thresholds but the impact rostering him leaves on your remaining salary makes it more difficult to justify him in cash games. If news opens up a lot of value, we’re more inclined to consider him, but most likely he’ll remain in cash game limbo as a very solid play that is simply difficult to roster.
