Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is DraftKings
Russell Westbrook (OKC) – Westbrook projects as the top scorer on this slate and thus the top overall point guard option. Minnesota ranks 20th in overall defensive efficiency and 10th against point guards, but they struggle in transition (27th percentile in points per possession allowed) and also rank in the bottom quartile in points per possession against the pick-and-roll ball handler. Those two play types account for a little over 60 percent of Westbrook’s action as categorized by SportVU data. As is typically the case, the decision on Westbrook is less about him and more about the ramifications to your roster. Point guard is deep with options, but he’s among the best even on a value perspective. On tighter pricing sites, he’s very difficult to justify in cash games. On looser pricing sites, he’s one of the expensive players we’re comfortable targeting this evening.
