Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is DraftKings
Stephen Curry (GS) – Curry has a favorable matchup with the Mavericks who rank 19th in defensive efficiency against the point guard position and 18th in overall defensive efficiency. Curry has handled the Mavs with ease this year, averaging 52.4 DraftKings points per game in two previous matchups despite shooting just .432 from the field. As we’ve noted throughout the year, the price tag on DraftKings is a bit discounted on the high end players, making Curry a pretty strong value play. He’s also in contention for our highest projected player and that honor is Curry’s if you project him for his usual 34-35 minutes. This is the lone concern on Curry as the Warriors are 14 point home favorites and beat reporters have speculated on the Warriors finding some opportunities to lighten Curry’s load down the stretch. With James Harden and DeMarcus Cousins representing really strong alternatives at the top of the totem pole, Curry isn’t a clear cut top play. Lineup building this evening encourages stars and scrubs, making Curry a strong consideration in all formats. UPDATE: Even more minutes risk in Curry’s projection now that the Mavericks are resting many players this evening.
