Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is DraftKings
John Wall (WAS)/Kyle Lowry (TOR) – These two options project as the top scorers at a deep point guard position. Wall gets a matchup with the Cavaliers who rank 21st in defensive efficiency against the point guard position. He tore through them in the last meeting, posting 49.75 DraftKings points in 29 minutes in a blowout win and has averaged 53 DraftKings points per game against them this season. The price gap between Wall and Lowry on most sites has us leaning towards Lowry if paying up at the position in cash games and Wall in tournaments. Lowry gets a tougher matchup on paper as Portland ranks 11th in defensive efficiency against the point guard position, but as we’ve noted in the past their pick-and-roll defense funnels mid-range volume to point guards. The Raptors have the third highest frequency of pick-and-roll ball handler play types in the league. This is a good matchup to encourage an aggressive offensive performance from Lowry and with the price tag down on DraftKings ($8,500), he’s a very strong option in all formats.
