Daily Fantasy Rundown – March 7 NBA DFS Picks and Analysis

Welcome to Monday’s edition of the Daily Fantasy Rundown with “dinkpiece”, “leonem” and “TheNumbersGuy”. Each day throughout the NBA season our daily NBA scouting reports will highlight the best top, value and cheap plays of the day based on the Daily Fantasy Industry’s pricing for salary cap games.  Our goal is to bring analysis that will help you build rosters that put you in position to win consistently over the long term.

*Any time a player’s salary is reference as a discount or premium, it is relative to the average cost of a roster spot.

Point Guard – Our featured site for the point guard position is FanDuel

Top Play:

Stephen Curry (GS) – Curry is in action without Westbrook on Monday which makes him the default top play at the point guard position. Curry is on a back-to-back after an embarrassing road loss to the Lakers and facing the Magic who rank 23rd in defensive efficiency against the point guard position. There is blowout risk (14.5 point favorites) but Curry’s been able to deliver value despite blowouts all season long. He projects alongside DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis in our top tier (slightly behind) and is priced similarly around the industry. Most will focus on Cousins and Davis with a similar total and more competitive environment (Kings favored by one) that Curry is likely a strong tournament play. He’s an acceptable target in cash games, but the slightly higher price tag and slightly lower projection compared to the other studs on this slate pushes him down our list of preferences.
