Vernon Adams Jr. (Oregon vs. Oregon State) – The healthier version of Adams Jr. has been in display over the last few weeks. After suffering a finger injury that derailed the beginning of his season, Adams Jr. has bounced back with 17 touchdowns over his last four games. In a difficult matchup against USC last week, Adams Jr. threw six touchdowns and over 400 passing yards. The Ducks are rolling with Adams Jr. (five straight wins, including a blowout win against USC and a crushing victory against Stanford), and we expect more of the same against Oregon State. Oregon State is awful defensively (ranked 112th in overall S&P+; 117th in passing S&P+), so expect Oregon to put up points without any difficulty. Vegas agrees, pegging the Ducks with a team total of 51 points (highest team total in this slate). Adams Jr. has perhaps the most upside at the position when you factor in his awesome matchup, but he doesn’t have to be forced into cash game lineups.
