Trevone Boykin (TCU at Kansas State) – Boykin is the only quarterback in this slate that deserves recognition as a top play. TCU is expected to score around five touchdowns in this game (team total is 36 points), and Boykin should be the direct source of those points. After a subpar game against a very tough Minnesota defense (Boykin only had two touchdowns in that game), Boykin has generated at least four touchdowns in each of his last four games. He continues to be an above average passer (64 percent completion percentage/15 yards per attempt) and runner (53 carries/4.6 yards per carry) in 2015. It’s going to be difficult to generate offense through the ground vs. Kansas State (surrendering a measly 2.3 yards per carry this season), but this defensive unit is just average against the pass (ranked 62nd in Def. Passing S&P+). It makes sense to lock in Boykin on a site like FanDuel, where you only have to roster one quarterback. However, on DraftKings, more value plays are available at the quarterback position due to 1) pricing and 2) more games being available to us on that site. It might not be as necessary to roster him in cash games on that particular site, but he’s still a direct source to one of the highest team totals on this slate. Boykin is playable in both cash and tournament games across all sites this evening.
