What’s up Soccer fans!? Jerzeydevil here with another write-up, just for you and your EPL DFS action.  Last week was an off week due to WCQ, now it’s time to get back into the swing of it again. Two weeks ago, players I talked about had monster days.  If you played my selections, you would’ve finished 2nd at minimum in the contests offered at StatClash. Not bad at all, am I right? So here we go, lets get back into it. Remember all the prices I post are coming from StatClash – the only place offering EPL Daily Fantasy action.
Petr Cech (Chelsea) $25.00   Now here is a keeper I haven’t talked about yet. I tried to find keepers I felt were going to get the win with a possible shut out. With Chelsea playing Cardiff City, Cech should get both. In his last 5 games played the man has booked 3 shut outs. In the other 2, he’s only let given up one goal. Cech should be a solid play.
Tim Howard (Everton) $23.00  I have enjoyed watching the American keeper, Howard, throughout his career in the EPL. Playing for Everton, he doesn’t see a lot of shut outs. However, playing Hull City this week he should get the win and I’m feeling the shut out as well.
Boaz Myhill (West Brom) $22.75   I’m hoping that Myhill is still in the line-up for Saturday’s game. Here is a keeper that no one really plays, but they should start to look more in his direction for their line up selection.  In his last 5 games, Myhill has 1 shut out and the other 4 games has only given up 1 goal each. To me, that’s solid and could provide DFS players with some value.
Simon Mignolet (Liverpool) $25.75   Mignolet has been solid all season long. Over at StatClash, Mignolet has had double digit points in 4 out of his last 5 games. Playing Newcastle this weekend, he should see double digit points again.
Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea) $16.00   Defenders are hard to figure out in terms of what their role will be in the game. What I typically try to do is find a team that might have a shut out or identify a team that will score goals, keeping the defenders involved. This match up fits the bill for both.
Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City) $16.50   Zabaleta is one of those defenders that plays all 90 minutes of the game. He does a solid job in the backfield for Man City. City is on the road at West Ham this week and I feel it should be a close game since City seems to struggle away. Im hoping for a City win – or at the very least – a draw for Zabaleta where he’ll get some points.
John Terry (Chelsea) $15.00  Normally I wouldn’t have 2 players listed from the same team and position, but Terry has been a hot player,  racking up fantasy points week in and week out. Playing against Cardiff, I like his chances of scoring or getting an assist.
Per Mertesacker (Arsenal) $13.50  Wanted to try and find a cheaper defender so you would have more money to spend in other positions – this is a pure value play.  Arsenal is home against Norwich City and this one of those games where you might see Arsenal score 3 or 4 goals while getting the shut out.
Yaya Toure (Manchester City) $20.00  When a player is hot you have to play him.  That’s my rule in EPL DFS action, and Toure has been one of those players. Each time Yaya steps on the grass, he’s either scoring goals or getting assists. I know City is on the road, but they should still score a goal or 2 in the game and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Toure involved.
Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal) $21.50  You have to love the play of Ramsey at midfield.  Ramsey has recorded a goal the last 3 out of 4 games with a few assists to boot. He is a great play this weekend with Arsenal at home against Norwich City.  Check him out.
Morgan Amalfitano (West Brom) $20.50  Now here is a mildfielder I haven’t mentioned this season, though I probably should have. He is a great midfielder for West Brom and flat out gets it done all over the field. He can score, he’s an assist machine and the guy knows how to play defense. Amalfitano has 2 goals in his last 3 games and you have to mix in the assist. This week, West Brom are on the road against Stoke City, which will probably will be a close game with a few goals. Amalfitano should be right in the action.
Oscar (Chelsea) $19.00   I like the way Oscar plays midfield with Chelsea. In their last EPL game, not surprisingly, Oscar found the back of the net.  He has scored in 2 of the last 3 EPL games and playing at home, there’s a chance you will see a few goals in the game – so Oscar is a great play.
Luis Suárez (Liverpool) $24.50  I know I had Suarez in my last write up and that’s because he is consistently scoring goals for Liverpool. Since his return, he has scored in every game. Liverpool is on the road at Newcastle this week and I don’t think Newcastle has a good enough defense to keep Liverpool from hitting the net.  Give Luis a close look.
Romelu Lukaku (Everton) $20.00  Straight up, Lukaku is a hot striker right now, scoring in 3 of his last 5 games. He recorded 2 goals against Newcastle a few weeks back and a goal 2 weeks ago. I look for him to keep it rolling this weekend as Everton plays host to Hull City. Luuuuuuuuu!
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) $20.50  Aguero has scored in 2 of his last 3 games while recording multiple assists. While City is on the road this weekend, I still feel they will score against West Ham and you’d better believe Serg will be in the mix.
Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) $22.00 How do you not love Giroud this weekend?  If you look at his stats, the man pulls down fantasy points and that is what we are looking for. He can score and make the assist as well. Giround doesn’t hesitate to take shots, which is exactly what you want in a striker. Arsenal should be able to score a few goals this weekend at home against Norwich City.
Remember to do some research yourself, but feel comfortable in using these selections to get you headed in the right direction. Have a great weekend & good Luck Saturday…JD
